Fnatic announcearrival of coach Keita to roster. Jamie “keita” Hall has joined Fnatic, with the British coach set to work for the organization’s new look global CS:GO roster. The Brit will work alongside Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson as a strategic coach. The Swedish organization started the overhaul of its CS:GO team in July, with the arrival of keita being the latest change.

Fnatic has moved away from an international roster, with keita’s compatriots Mezii and ALEX having both joined over recent weeks. The duo replaced Makil “Gonden” Selim and Jesper “JW” Wecksell, who parted ways with the org last month. “KRIMZ”, “Brollan” and “Jackinho” are the three remaining Swedish pros on the roster.

Speaking on the recent changes, head coach Samuelsson stated that: “Step one was the relaunch of the academy team, step two involved internationalization of the main team and the expansion of the management. “It quickly became clear that he [keita] may indeed be the missing piece to the puzzle that we were looking for. “The immediate impression we gathered from him was not only impressive coaching abilities but furthermore his passion and dedication for the role itself.”

How keita & Samuelsson will work at Fnatic

Keita will be in charge of the in-game performance of Fnatic, with Samuelsson concentrating on the main and academy Fnatic rosters. At Fnatic, Keita will take over the role of a strategic coach and will be primarily tasked with in-game performance. Samuelsson will remain as Fnatic’s head coach and will oversee both of Fnatic’s CS:GO rosters. Speaking on keita’s arrival, Samuelsson stated that:

“With Jamie [keita] joining as our new strategic mastermind and his responsibility directed towards our in-game performance, I will be responsible for the Fnatic CS:GO division and move to a more managerial role.”

How keita made His name as a CS:GO coach

Keita most recently spent two years as the head coach of Complexity, before leaving the organization on July 17. The Brit was replaced by Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu at Complexity. With the help of keita, Complexity reached a high of no.5 in the world rankings in September last year. The team won a gold medal at the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals, as well as recording a top 4 finish at the Intel Extreme Masters XV – Beijing Online: Europe.

The Brit ultimately left Complexity following a difficult start to 2021. The team finished 13th-16th at the Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Cologne. Keita and other new additions to the Fnatic team will debut at the ESL Pro League Season 14, which gets underway on August 16.

They will come up against Evil Geniuses, BIG, FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere and mousesports in Group C, with Fnatic being outsiders for the event as a result of this tough draw.
