CS:GO – es3tag reportedly about to join Ninjas in Pyjamas

Patrick ‘es3tag’ Hansen is currently still on the bench at Complexity and is reportedly about to join Swedish team Ninjas in Pyjamas. The Danish player is expected to replace 19-year-old player Linus ‘LNZ’ Holtäng at Ninjas in Pyjamas. The young Swede was brought into the main lineup from NiP’s Academy team in June, but had big problems finding his flow in the new lineup.

Complexity had benched es3tag some time ago and announced that other teams can make offers for both him and Justin ‘jks’ Savage at any time because Complexity wanted to rebuild their CS:GO lineup. The organization had also already parted ways with Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer, Kristian ‘k0nfig’ Wienecke, and Valentin ‘poizon’ Vasilev. k0nfig and blameF have both since joined Team Astralis.

Is es3tag joining NIP?

As it looks Es3tag will go to Ninjas in Pyjamas – and apparently very soon. With the change he hopes to finally find a permanent team again, because last year he switched back and forth between three different organizations. Although it is of course very important to find a suitable team, it is also equally important to find stability within a team in order to grind with ones colleagues in order to achieve greater success. And sometimes this process just takes a bit of time.

For the players it is also not always easy to constantly end up at another organization, to change the circle of colleagues and friends, to change the place of residence and maybe even the country. es3tag used to be -just like blameF and k0nfig now- at Astralis, where he was only for 3 months, but celebrated great success with the team.

In November 2020, he was transferred to Cloud9, where he unfortunately could not achieve the same success with project “Colossus” as he did with Astralis. Some time later he joined Complexity, where he stepped in as a replacement for William ‘RUSH’ Wierzba. However, things went even worse for es3tag at Complexity than they did at Cloud9, so now it’s time for a change again.

Old mates

At Ninjas in Pyjamas es3tag already knows Nicolai ‘dev1ce’ Reedtz, his former colleague from Astralis. Together with dev1ce he won the ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe, one of his biggest successes. At the moment nothing is officially confirmed, but if the rumors turn out to be true, es3tag will make his debut with the Ninjas in Pyjamas at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, which starts on November 24.

When es3tag joins NiP, the lineup will look like this:

  • Patrick ‘es3tag’ Hansen
  • Nicolai ‘device’ Reedtz
  • Fredrik ‘REZ’ Sterner
  • Hampus ‘Hampus’ Poser
  • Nicolas ‘Plopski’ Gonzalez Zamora
  • Björn ‘THREAT’ Pers (Coach)
