The german organization BIG has announced that they have signed Niclas “enkay J” Krumhorn as their new coach. The 32-year veteran was previously with Sprout, G2, Envy and MOUZ and brings plenty of experience to the table. In September, ex-coach Dustin “DuDe” Großmann parted ways with the german organization, leaving a big hole in the lineup.

Shortly after, BIG brought in Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić to fill DuDe’s empty spot and to coach the team on a transitional basis. During his short time coaching the team, LEGIJA helped BIG qualify for the BLAST Premier Fall Finals and the PGL Major in Stockholm. The organization thanked LEGIJA for stepping in on such short notice and helping the team qualify for the two mega tournaments.

LEGIJA is looking for a new job

LEGIJA announced at the same time that he was again looking for a job as a coach for a new team and that he was no longer under contract with BIG. As of now, the 31-year-old is open for offers again. At the same time BIG announced that from now on enkay J will take over the permanent role as coach for the german team. Shortly before the Major, enkay J left Sprout, and could thus almost directly switch to BIG.

In a statement, Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, said: “With his experience during his long career, enkay J brings a lot of expertise and knowledge to the team, which will certainly contribute to the development of the team in 2022 and beyond.” enkay J also seems to be very excited about his new job as coach and announced that he will give his all to help BIG achieve their goals.

BIG’s preparation

enkay J also needs to get to work with his new team right away, because they are facing a full schedule until the end of the year. In November BIG has to prove themselves at the DreamHack Open and the V4 Future Sports Festival (on LAN), as well as the IEM WInter and the BLAST Premier Fall Finals.

BIG now have the following line-up to compete with at the coming tournaments:

Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz
Nils “k1to” Gruhne
Nicklas “gade” Gade
Florian “syrsoN” Rische
Titian “tiziaN” Feldbusch
Niclas “enkay J” Krumhorn (new coach)
