CS:GO – BIG gets Gade in the line-up

BIG has announced that they have signed Nicklas “gade” Gade. Gade began his career in 2015, and for six years the Dane has played for teams such as Team Singularity, North Academy, OpTic Gaming and North.

With this, the team now has 6 players, with the rest to be announced in the following weeks. The German organization did not specify who exactly the 26-year-old newcomer is going to replace. There is a possibility that gade will replace XANTARES, who had surgery a few days ago.

Will Gade be able to help big?

Gade was without a team at the beginning of July because his previous team HYENAS disbanded afterMarkus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye left the line-up. At a press event, gade said the decision to join BIG “made him very happy” because after Hyenas disbanded, he was unsure what the future would hold for him. “It’s definitely a feeling of pure joy to now know that this is my new home.”

The former North player joins BIG at a critical time, as the German team has struggled to find much success recently. A top-eight finish at IEM Cologne, a fifth-place finish at Flashpoint 3 and a win at the FunSpark ULTI Europe Final have been the highlights of the 2021 campaign so far.

Nicklas “gade” Gade has been added to the team to help bring the team back to first place, as they were in 2020. He will assist Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz in his duties at the helleading of the team because he had already gathered experience in leadership roles at HYENAS and North.

Daniel Finkler, Big’s CEO said that he expects “Nicklas to play a key role in the team’s future as he will also support tabseN inside and outside the game.” BIG will debut with its newest member in ESL Pro League Season 14. The team is placed in Group C alongside Natus Vincere, Evil Geniuses, FaZe, mousesports, and fnatic. The matches will take place from August 27 to 31.
