After seemingly having just arrived, four of MIBR’s latest recruits have all parted ways with the organization. Raphael “cogu” Camargo, Vinicius “vsm” Moreira and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles have all been released, while “Leonardo “leo_drunky” de Oliverira’s loan from Sharks Esports has been cut short.

Why the Quartet Have Parted Company with MIBR

It is believed that negotiations to keep such players and coaches on board were unsuccessful, capping off what has been a lengthy period of uncertainty for MIBR. The organization had previously recovered from the loss of Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Epitacio “TACO” de Melo and Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, raising hope that they could once again be a threat in the Brazilian CS:GO scene.

MIBR even recorded a fourth place finish at Flashpoint Season 2, however their latest rebuild has certainly not lived up to expectations, with the organization having now announced the departure of four key figures. Both LUCAS1 and vsm were both brief in sharing their thoughts on their respective exits, however the former did state that negotiations surrounding a new contract “did not work”.

What the Future Holds for MIBR

Elsewhere, Cogu has already revealed his plans to stay within CS:GO, with the experienced coach likely to find a new organization relatively quickly. The 35-year-old took to Twitter to speak on his departure from MIBR, stating that: “Today was my last day at MIBR. I would like to say that I will stay on CS:GO and [I’m] looking forward to [competing] on the [highest] level again. I have a stable and set project with 6 players, any org interested can get in touch with me.”

Leo_drunky has had his loan spell at MIBR terminated, with the young talent set to return to Sharks Esports as a result. MIBR has yet to announce any of these departures officially, however it should only be a matter of time. Both Alencar “trk” Rossato and Vito “kNg” Giuseppe are set to remain on the MIBR roster, and while both FalleN and TACO also have time remaining on their contracts, it is expected that the former will secure a move to Team Liquid sooner rather than later.
