China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 is currently underway and several great matches are taking place each day. Let’s have a look at what happened during the first 3 competitive days and what’s coming up next.

China Dota2 Pro Cup Results

So far, China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 proved to us one thing: PSG.LGD is the strongest team in China and Vici Gaming is still a great competitor in spite of losing Eurus. Few people would have said that they were going to stay afloat after releasing one of the world’s best carry players and replacing him with a relatively unknown one. But it looks like Dy, the team’s captain, is good enough to adapt to anything. And keep in mind, Erica is just a substitute. The real carry who has yet to join the team is 23savage, the 11,000 MMR youngster from Thailand.

Day 1

Day 1 had two important matches. In the first of these matches, Vici Gaming faced EHOME, one of the big teams in the region. Unfortunately for EHOME, even though they have a great roster, something is clearly not working. We’ve already seen them at two events and China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 is the third. The roster changes they made in the last few months are not paying off as they had hoped. To be fair, the match was extremely close and Vici Gaming needed more than 50 minutes to close each game. But in the end, EHOME still lost.

The second big match of day 1 took place between RNG and PSG.LGD. RNG looked capable of winning and even managed to win game 1. But PSG.LGD used an IO strategy to perfection in games 2 and 3 and closed the series.

Day 2

On the second competitive day of China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2, Elephant lost to Vici Gaming and EHOME lost again to PSG.LGD. EHOME’s defeat was expected, as PSG.LGD is the best team in the region. But Elephant was supposed to beat Vici Gaming. After all, they have 4 superstar players on their roster. If things don’t work out over the next few months, my intuition is that RedPanda will be released from the team, as he’s the only one who doesn’t seem to fit in.

Day 3

On day 3, PSG.LGD got their 3rd win of the tournament, EHOME got their first, while Elephant also got their first triumph, against Aster.

Complete Results

The complete results of the first 3 days are the following:

  • 1st place: PSG.LGD: 3 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Vici Gaming: 2 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Elephant: 1 W – 1 L
  • 4th place: Team Aster: 1 W – 1 L
  • 5th place: EHOME: 1 W – 2 L
  • 6th place: Sparking Arrow Gaming: 1 W – 2 L
  • 7th place: Royal Never Give Up: 0 W – 1 L
  • 8th place: Invictus Gaming: 0 W – 2 L

Upcoming Matches

Over the next several days you will be able to enjoy some very good matches that will determine the pecking order at the top of the rankings table. The most important ones are PSG.LGD – Vici Gaming (November 18th), Elephant – EHOME (November 19th), and PSG.LGD – Aster (November 19th). In particular, the first of these matches will probably decide the winner of the round-robin.
