CES 2022 | NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel Presentations All Confirmed for January 4th!

CES 2022 is right around the corner and with it comes a series of highly anticipated product launches and reveals! The thing that interests us the most are the oft-rumored entry-level graphics cards from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, all of which are expected to get their grand (and long overdue) reveals!

The most important date for millions of gamers across the globe is January 4th — that’s the day when all three tech giants will take the stage and make their announcements.

A Stacked Schedule

AMD will go first at around 15 PM GMT. “Team red” is expected to delve a bit deeper into its refreshed Ryzen 3D V-Cache line-up and the upcoming AMD Ryzen 6000 “Rembrandt” APUs. Last but certainly not least, the budget-friendly Radeon RX 6500 XT and RX 6400 desktop graphics cards will also be made official. All in all, there’s quite a lot to look forward to!

NVIDIA will take the stage right afterward and reveal a series of insanely powerful desktop and laptop-grade GPUs including (but not limited to) the RTX 3090 Ti, 3080 12GB, and 3070 Ti 16GB. Some of these might be announced a few days or weeks prior to the presentation but it’s still too early to make any kind of confident prediction. The most interesting product reveal, however, is arguably going to be the RTX 3050 with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, a budget Ampere-based GPU that should retail for less than $200 — “should” being the operative word here.

It’ll bring all the bells and whistles like ray tracing support, DLSS, and NVIDIA reflex for an astonishingly low price tag and will, therefore, be mighty alluring to anyone who’s looking to game on a budget.

It is expected to go on sale on January 27th, alongside the desktop-class RTX 3090 Ti 24GB.

A New Challenger Approaches

Finally, we have Intel — the biggest underdog of the bunch but also a challenger worthy of respect. They’ll reveal a bunch of new CPUs (mobile Alder Lake processors and non-K desktop ones) along with the first series of ARC Alchemist laptop graphics cards.

All three announcements will be mighty exciting for a wide variety of reasons: mobile Alder Lake CPUs will finally be able to compete with AMD’s Ryzen offerings, non-K Alder Lake ones will be cheaper and more available than their overclockable brethren, and ARC Alchemist GPUs could potentially be a bit more powerful (and therefore game-changing) than most folks expect.

All in all, Intel’s presentation at CES 2022 might not be as anticipated as those of NVIDIA and AMD, but it could nonetheless bring the house down.
