CDA-FDC Professional Championship Playoffs Preview

CDA-FDC Professional Championship has entered its Playoffs Stage. Only 6 of the original 8 teams are still in the race and the matches ahead look very exciting. Most of the top organizations in China are competing against each other but for a trophy, because the trophy is insignificant here. They’re doing it to test their skills against the best rivals in the region. Whoever wins this event is definitely one of the best competitors in China at the moment. In the region’s top 3, I think it’s safe to reserve one spot to Vici Gaming, which isn’t present here. But since everyone else is, the results will show us what the current pecking order is.

CDA-FDC Professional Championship Group Stage Results

The Group Stage of CDA-FDC Professional Championship ended with predictable results. Although, to be fair, Elephant.4AM had such a bad start that everyone assumed that their roster doesn’t have synergy and will probably fail to qualify for the Playoffs. But instead of losing its last two matches, it somehow managed to win both of them.

The complete results for this stage were the following:

Group A

• 1^st place: Elephant.4AM: 2 W – 1 L
• 2^nd place: EHOME: 2 W – 1 L
• 3^rd place: Royal Never Give Up: 2 W – 1 L
• 4^th place: Team MagMa: 0 W – 3 L

Group B

• 1^st place: PSG.LGD: 3 W – 0 L
• 2^nd place: Team Aster: 2 W – 1 L
• 3^rd place: Invictus Gaming: 1 W – 2 L
• 4^th place: Sparking Arrow Gaming: 0 W – 3 L

Playoffs Matches

The Playoffs Stage of CDA-FDC Professional Championship starts with 2 matches:

EHOME – Invictus Gaming

The skill difference here is too great to have any illusions. EHOME is almost certainly going to win, unless they got demoralized by their loss against 4AM. That’s probably not the case, so I do expect a good performance from them in this match.

Team Aster – Royal Never Give Up

This one will be close. Or at least, that’s what the statistics indicate. RNG is probably slightly favored to win, but the skill difference is so close that it’s hard to predict a clear winner.

Upper Bracket Round 2

In the second round of the Upper Bracket of CDA-FDC Professional Championship, PSG.LGD will most likely encounter EHOME while Elephant.4AM will need to prove itself against Aster or RNG. RNG already beat them in the Group Stage, so in case of a rematch we need to keep that in mind.
