BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas is an online Dota 2 tournament that reunites the best teams in the Americas. A total of 10 participants are competing in the event and so far, we’ve had some big upsets and surprises. Let’s take a look.

BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas Results

We’re only 3 days into the tournament and there have already been some spectacular matches. For instance, 4 Zoomers got defeated by beastcoast. This was a huge surprise considering how strong Gunnar’s team has proved to be in the weeks and months prior to BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas. Perhaps they’re tired or disappointed after their last tournament, OMEGA League: Americas Divine Division, where they finished 2nd. Or perhaps beastcoast really is that good. The first hypothesis is supported by 4 Zoomers’ 2nd defeat, against Thunder Predator. The second one is supported by beastcoast 2nd victory, against CR4ZY.

At the time of this writing, beastcoast has just won against Team Zero. This was their 3rd victory of the tournament. So, after just 3 competitive days, we have a totally unlikely leader in the Group Stage. The tricking part though is that Quincy Crew has yet to enter the race. They will play their first match on September 12th, which will be the 6th day of competition. From that day onward, Quinn’s squad will have between one and two matches each day. Normally, based on everything we know about the participants, Quincy Crew should win the round-robin.

Day 4 Preview

This day is scheduled for September 10th (late night) – 11th (early morning) and it will feature 4 matches:

CR4ZY (0 W – 2 D – 1 L) vs. Havan Liberty (0 W – 1 D – 1 L)

Both of these teams have yet to win a match. Based on the rosters, CR4ZY is more likely to be the first. But that’s not very likely to happen on day 4 of BTS Pro Series Season 3: Americas. And that’s because Havan has some legendary Brazilian players in its roster: Thiolicor and Duster. If these players get a good day, it will be hard for CR4ZY to walk away with more than a draw.

Zero (0 W – 1 D – 2 L) vs. Infinity (0 W – 1 D – 0 L)

Team Zero currently has zero victories but its roster is full of superstar players: EternaLEnVy, 1437, Ryoya, Brax, and Sneyking. All of these names are quite famous in Dota 2, especially in the Americas. Normally, this match should be won by Zero.

Team Brasil (1 W – 0 D – 0 L) vs. Infamous (1 W – 1 D – 0 L)

I expect to see a victory for Infamous in this match. The team has played very well in the last few weeks and Brasil is not exactly a tier 1 competitor in the Americas, even though it has some important players such as 4dr and tavo.

beastcoast (3 W – 0 D – 0 L) vs. Thunder Predator (1 W – 2 D – 0 L)

Given its current form, I think beastcoast cannot be defeated in this match. On the other hand, Thunder Predator is also a strong competitor. So the most likely result is a draw.
