French team Vitality has unveiled their new CS:GO lineup for the 2022 season, confirming that they signed two new players, Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen, Emil ‘magisk’ Reif and coach Danny ‘zonic’ Sørensen from Astralis. With the additions of magisk, dupreeh and zonic, the team is now more international than ever. Some time ago the organization was purely French.

The lineup has already been hyped as a new mega team and the organization is hoping for a more successful year with their new players, as 2021 was a bit shaky for Vitality. “It’s now time to think internationally and create a new CS:GO culture with European talent and legacy athletes,” said Vitality co-founder and Esports Director Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide.

The new Mega Team

The remaining three players in the lineup are Frenchmen Kévin ‘misutaaa’ Rabier, Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut and Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire. ZywOo was crowned the best player in the world in CS:GO twice. The word “Mega Team” is no coincidence. zonic, magisk and dupreeh have celebrated great successes together with Astralis, winning three CS:GO Majors in a row, among others. The mix of these talented players seems very promising.

“I am honored to lead the way with this lineup, which has the potential to make history in Europe and beyond,” said Neo. “Since the beginning of our entry into CS:GO, we have worked hard to reach the top and develop some of the best talent in France. Now it’s time to think internationally and create a new CS:GO culture with European talent using legacy athletes. As proven winners, dupreeh, magisk & zonic have what it takes to make us not only a strong competitor, but the best CS:GO team in the world.”

An investor made the mega team possible

Vitality has been very lucky with their investors. One of their investors, Rewired.GG has committed to investing around €50 million in the company over the next three years to put together “European superteams” with the best players to sweep the prizes and trophies at major tournaments.

Some of this money has already been used to bring magisk, dupreeh and zonic to Vitality. The money will mainly go into the players and their training facilities. This will support teams in CS:GO, Valorant, Rocket League, League of Legends, Fortnite, FIFA and Rainbow Six Siege. Vitality has also recently revamped their League of Legends lineup. There they have already brought in Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság and Luka “Perkz” Perković.
