Italian soccer giants AC Milan have launched a brand new Esports team alongside Italian organization QLASH. The team will be referred to as “AC Milan QLASH” and will take part in the eSerie A TIM 2020/21 Championship. Meanwhile, it has also been announced that AC Milan QLASH will be the latest team to compete in FIFA 21 competitions, including the FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA Global Series, which were recently launched by EA.

Why AC Milan Has Entered the Esports Scene

Speaking on the launch of the team, AC Milan chief revenue officer Casper Stylsvig said that: “This agreement is another important step in our Club’s modernisation and innovation path. We are sure it will be an exciting and incredible experience, both for us and for our fans around the world, and we’re delighted to be embarking on this new adventure in the world of Esports in partnership with a leading company like QLASH.”

The AC Milan QLASH roster has already been announced, with well-known Fabio “QLASH” Denuzzo and Diego “QLASH” Campagnani having joined the team, with the latter already being a leading FIFA PlayStation player. QLASH had already developed a reputation as being the best Italy has to offer, having been recognized at the Italian Esports Awards earlier this year, with the latest developments set to enhance their standing yet further.
Luca Pagano, co-founder and CEO of QLASH was clearly delighted at the launch too, stating: “For traditional companies that have the courage to adjust and embrace innovation, Esports can represent a huge growth opportunity.

We are thrilled and proud that AC Milan decided to pick QLASH as their Esports arm, not just for operation, but also at brand and commercial levels. AC Milan QLASH is a true, deep, and effective partnership. For sponsors that want to invest in the future, without neglecting the present or their traditions, together we will be able to offer the best of both worlds.”

When Will We See AC Milan QLASH in Action?

We will not have to wait long to see AC Milan QLASH in action, with the team set to compete in Brawl Stars, with the World Finals set to take place on November 21 and 22. Brawl Stars averages more than one million active users per day, making it one of the biggest mobile gaming titles around.
