For the first time in history, Valorant crowned a World Champion at the Valorant Champions Tour 2021 which was hosted in Berlin. On Sunday 12th December 2021, Acend took the crown home as they became the first ever Valorant Champion of the world after they defeated Gambit Esports with a 3-2 scoreline at the grand finale.

The Valorant Champions Tour was a battle between the top 16 teams from different parts of the world. Among these teams were the best of the best Valorant players in the world, and just as expected, many of these pro players gave some of the most incredible performances that fans have ever seen in the history of Valorant. Among those wowing performances were some extraordinary clutches that caused jaws to drop. In this article, we will check out some of those clutches that left us mesmerized during the tournament.

5. NagZet Clutch Against Sentinels

The Argentine Valorant team, KRU Esports, was outstanding all through the Valorant Champions Tour. They got eyes rolling after they eliminated Sentinels and Fnatic consecutively. One of their most remarkable games was the one they had with Sentinels.
At some point during the game, KRU and Sentinels were on an 11-11 scoreline with KRU playing attack. KRU was three members down at this point, but then Juan Pablo “NagZet” Lopez launched a 4k that destroyed the opponents and won the round for KRU.

4. Nivera’s Clutch in the Match Between Liquid and Cloud9 Blue

Team Liquid’s Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom also gets a much deserved mention for not only the remarkable clutch he pulled during his team’s series against Cloud9 Blue, but for being his team’s most consistent player all through the Valorant Champions 2021.
Team Liquid and Cloud9 Blue had their remarkable encounter in the quarter final stage of the competition. The series started on the map Bind, and while Cloud9 Blue had planned the Spike on B-Site, Nirvera got stuck with a 2v1 situation. Nirvera expertly destroyed them both and clutched the round for Team Liquid.

3. Sick’s Sick 1v3 Against KRU

Sentinel player Sick pulled a sick clutch during their Group B Elimination tie against KRU Esports. Although the series was a disappointing outing for the Sentinels, the players gave an entertaining and graciously extraordinary gameplay.
One of the most remarkable gameplays of the series was Hunter “Sick” Mims’ 1v3 clutch during the 7th round of the series on Haven. KRU had tried to retake A-site after Sentinels had planted the spike on the site. In an attempt to overthrow Sentinels and dominate the site, KRU eliminated four members of the Sentinel squad, leaving only SicK to wiggle his way out of a 1v3 dilemma. Though the odds were stacked against him, SicK magically destroyed the trio and won the round for his team.

2. Scream’s 1v3 clutch in the Series Between Liquid and Acend

Every Valorant fan who follows Team Liquid already knows that Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom is king of precision when it comes to aiming and reflex. ScreaM solidified his reputation as a “Headshot Machine” during their series with Acend in the just concluded Valorant Champions.
After losing the first map, and suffering a 3-0 defeat in the hands of Acend on the Split map, ScreaM pulled a screamer when he got stuck in a 1v3 situation. Despite losing all his teammates prior, ScreaM completed his ace, taking down the whole enemies up against him, thus winning the round for his team.

1. Zombs 1v3 in the Series Against Team Liquid

Despite the fact that Sentinels’ run at the Valorant Champions Tour was cut short at the group stages, they had some remarkable moments during the competition. Their match with Team Liquid still ranks among the best games during the tournament.
Sentinels and Team Liquid had a faceoff in the Group B tie. As at the 23rd round on map Breeze, Team Liquid was leading the series with a 12-10 scoreline, and at some point, Sentinel’s Jared “zombs” Giltlin was confronted with a 1v3 danger line. Using only a Marshal, zombs switched to Classics and in an unexpected clutch, he destroyed all of them and sealed the round in victory for the Sentinels.
