fragster: Hello MMA! You just won the finals of IEM Kiev. How does it feel to win your first major European tournament?
Moon 'MMA' Sung Won: I am very happy that I won the tournament and I hope that this is going to lead to further success in Europe.
You are already qualified for the Intel Extreme Masters, or more precisely the World Championship, in Hanover. Are you particularly excited for this event?
MMA: I personally like Germany pretty much and would like to visit it only for sightseeing, but of course I am also excited to play in Hanover.
You have currently high chances to win the GSL. Who is going to be your hardest opponent in the Round of 16?
MMA: My teammate Puzzle, I think.
Do you think you will have any problems advancing from your group?
MMA: It's definitely going to be difficult, but I'm sure that I'm going to pass my group.
Who are the strongest players in the remaining Code S tournament?
MMA: Probably DRG or MVP.
Do you consider one of them to be the best player around the world?
MMA: Both of them are very strong, but there are many other talents who could not really present their skill in their games so far. The time will definitely come when those talents are going to achieve great success in tournaments as well.
There are also good players outside of Korea. Who do you think is the best Foreigner you could meet at the moment?
MMA: Any Protoss would be very difficult for me.
And is there any specific Protoss player you know whom you would consider to be especially good?
MMA: Really anyone. Protoss are – in inverted commas – imba.
Can't your teammates help you to play better against Protoss?
MMA: They try, but even in our practice games I'm always losing.
It won't be long until the expansion Heart of the Swarm will be released. What have you seen so far from the game and what are your thoughts about it?
MMA: I've seen a little, but I don't really know what to expect. For now I want to focus only on Wings of Liberty and don't want to worry too much about Heart of the Swarm.
What is more important for you at the moment? International tournaments or the GSL?
MMA: I don't have any priorities. For me, every tournament is very, very important. I don't think that any event is more significant than another.
Well then, thank you very much for the interview and all the best for your upcoming events.
