fragster: ClouD, what is your feeling about the location here in Valencia?

Carlo 'ClouD' Giannaco: Well it's okay. It could be a bit better because honestly I like it, it's warm while it's really cold everywhere else. So I am happy with it.

Why is it not perfect?

ClouD: The city is a bit dirty and there are not many people. But so far it's really good apart from this.

What about the DreamHack organisation here at the fair?

ClouD: Nothing negative to say about it. We got the rules explained and we are in time. So far it's good.

What are your goals for the tournament?

ClouD: I have no expectations because it is all about whom I get as a opponent in the next groupstage. I'm through already and I have to play HerO for the first place. I have just to see whom I get. I just hope that it won't be Zerg. If I don't get Zerg I am confident that I can make it through the second groupstage. If I get Zerg it is gonna be a bit harder.

Why do you fear Zerg?

ClouD: It is really hard to play against Zerg.

Is Zerg too strong at the moment?

ClouD: No, they are not too strong. It is just very hard to play against.

Well, is there any opponent you fear most in this tournament?

ClouD: I think TaeJa is the hardest. Stephano is beatable. Well, the other Terrans are not. There is lately no good Terran in Europe, so I can't train against them. Lately I feel like this my worst matchup at the moment.

Lateley you had not the best results. Why do you think it didn't work out really good in the last months.

ClouD: Well, it's not just me. It's pretty much every Terran on any teams. Nobody is doing well as Terran in Europe. I think after the patch it's really too hard to play and so we need some time to get to an level at which we can compete again. I think it is close but in Europe playing Terran ist pretty tough at the moment. This is not only my problem.

What about LucifroN who did pretty well lately?

ClouD: Well, LucifroN did pretty well. That doesn't mean that Terran does well. LucifroN is better like everyone else at the moment and if you watch the other Terrans it is pretty hard, expect LucifroN and Happy. Of course I am not saying it's impossible but it is just a bad series. I don´t want to find more excuses. Just a bad series and than trying to practice a lot. With the new patch I have to play very many games and it´s fine. I am trying my best, honestly.

What are your plans for the next weeks and months? Are you focussing on tournaments coming up or more on training?

ClouD: I think I still need to focus on training for at least one or two months. I will try to go to the next DreamHack in Bukarest but I just really want to get back to a good level. At the moment I will try to practice as hard as I can.

Is Korea an option for you?

ClouD: Not at the moment. I don't even want to go there.

What about your home country Italy – do you think about going back some time or even lately?

ClouD: Well, I really like Germany. Except the weather it is a really fine country. So I would like to stay there but I still don't know. As a pro-gamer you never know what is up in the future. I am just practicing in Germany as long as I can. I like it and living at TaKe is really cool.

With Team Alternate signing you some months ago: Is the team confident with your results?

ClouD: No, I don't think they are too happy. In the last months I just didn't do well as we already talked about. But they still believe in me. I try to put better results in the future.

And how long will your contract least?

ClouD: I can't say that.

Thank you for the interview.
